中六助学金
The purpose of the discretionary bursary is to provide financial support to benefit students who are most in need so that we can advance the equality of opportunity for students who may otherwise not be able to participate fully in their education.

Who can apply?
有 家庭收入 of under £35,000 可申请酌情助学金. Household income refers to any adult living at the home the student is living in that is over 18 and is earning a salary. 为了提交申请，学生需要填写一份 助学金申请表格 并提供适当的支持证据. Supporting evidence must be provided for all adults living at the student’s home and students and parents/carers will need to declare the names of all adults earning a salary on the form.
To be eligible for the bursary students must have also lived in the UK for three years prior to starting Year 12.

If you are submitting an award letter for benefits or a pension it must clearly state that you are currently in receipt of the payment. Parents/ carers and students must both sign the bursary form to declare that all of the information provided is accurate.

We will retain this as evidence and use it in the instance that a student makes a claim but does not meet our attendance requirements. We will always consider the individual circumstances of the student first before deciding how long payments can be withheld for and communicate expectations to students and their parents or carers.

We do not pay students set amount of money and will not authorise paying large amounts in cash into student accounts. Instead, the Academy would purchase items for students so that we can ensure the money is being used for its intended purpose.

Students must resubmit an application each year as the bursary is allocated based on annual 家庭收入 which can change year on year.

You should speak to your Head of Sixth form in the first instance should you have any concerns about the Bursary. If you are unhappy with a decision taken regarding the bursary please follow the Academy complaints procedure which is available on the Academy website.
